Cambridge Management Awards provide a framework for developing the business skills and knowledge needed at the front – line and middle management levels. The Awards have been developed specifically for the international market, acknowledging the growing number of employees whose career path takes them across both geographic and cultural boundaries. In accordance with this fact, Cambridge has ensured that the standards embodied in the Awards are globally recognised and highly valued by both educational and commercial institutions world – wide.
The Awards are offered as the Executive Certificate in Management and the higher level Executive Diploma in Management. Both Awards Have a similar assessment structure, based on an assignment for each module. The Course is designed to build on the knowledge gained whilst studying for Business Awards, and also provides ideal preparation for those planning to progress to wards an MBA.
To further broaden the scope and relevance of the Awards, Cambridge is working in partnership with FT Knowledge, an International provider of learning and tutorial services.
Each module ( all core and one option) is assessed by a set assignment which is marked by Cambridge. In addition, there is an Integrated Assignment in the form of a Case Study which covers the Core modules and gives the candidates the chance to show they have a broad understanding of the elements studied.
Candidates must also prepare a Management File, showing evidence of their achievements in the workplace and during study.

The Cambridge Diploma in Project Management is designed to recognise the growing importance of project management skills, and the way in which the can empower employees working with a dynamic business environment. The qualification is designed for those who manage, or are about to manage, projects as part of their work. It can also be taken by employees wishing to acquire project management skills as part of a career development programme.
The Award enables candidates to develop the ability to manage all aspects of a project – including people, facilities, IT and finance – and direct them towards a project goal. Candidates must prove their competence in a wide range of essential skills, including the selection and organisation of viable projects, project leadership, and the management of change. The Award is designed around six units of study, which follow the naturally occurring phases of a project life – cycle.
The Cambridge Diploma in Project Management has been developed in conjunction with the Association for Project Management (APM). Individuals who successfully complete the Diploma are eligible to apply for membership of the APM.
The Award combines assessment of both practical ability and theoretical knowledge and understanding, and therefore requires the involvement of a course tutor in the assessment process.
Course tutors are responsible for signing off a Student Assessment Record at the student’s mastery of the knowledge and understanding specified in that unit.
When the candidates have mastered the relevant skills they apply them to an individual assignment. Much of this work will be generated as part of the candidate’s tasks as a project manager in the work place. This brings together the various skills involved in the units. There are three assignments, each covering two units.
Assignments can be submitted at any time of the year, subject to the entry procedures laid down by Cambridge. All assignments will be marked in Cambridge by specialist examining personnel. A Diploma will be awarded to candidates who successfully complete all three assignments with accompanying evidence.
